John W asked:
I 'm thinking about buying a house that has wooden windows, that is, vinyl on the outside and wood inside the window. They 're looking nice, but I was wondering if the interior of timber required for any particular protective treatment, it might be, how to apply, and so on. Anyone know?

Mine are wooden and over 100 years old – I just use a semi-gloss paint and that protects them quite well.

You have what is called ‘vinyl clad’ windows. Nice! Use a foam brush and a good poly-urethane wood finish, on the interior wood portion. The more coats you put on, the better the protection/finish.
